About Karen
Renowned English supermodel Karen Elson has walked runways for everyone from Alexander McQueen to Chanel, Valentino, and Gucci. She’s been the face of countless campaigns and graced hundreds of magazine covers shot by many of the world’s leading fashion photographers.
In 2023 she hit a milestone of having a total of 50 Vogue covers and was featured on beloved editor Edward Enniful’s final British Vogue cover along side Oprah, Linda Evangelista, Kate Moss and other icons of fashion and entertainment shot by Steven Meisel.
Elson is also a singer songwriter and her music career has seen the release of three full-length albums The Ghost Who Walks, Double Roses and in spring of 2022 she released her third album Green. She’s collaborated with artists such as Cat Power and Jack White and has been featured on tributes to Serge Gainsbourg, Buddy Holly and added her voice to various film and tv soundtracks. Elson sang a cover of Lyle Lovett’s If I Had A Boat for the Oscar winning film Still Alice.
In 2020 she released her first book ‘The Red Flame’ with Rizzoli Publishing which highlighted her storied career with images and poignant reflections of a life in fashion. She has spoken at various events from Vogue Forces, The Harpers Bazaar Women’s Summit and the Semi Permanent Festival and had a sold out musical residency at the famed Cafe Carlyle to rave reviews.
Karen lives between Nashville TN and NYC with her 2 children Scarlett and Henry, her husband Lee Foster and in her words too many cats.
